My Birthday!!

I had a GREAT Birthday!!  My oldest daughter surprised me with a cake and presents the night before my birthday and my youngest daughter bought me my favorite miniature roses on my Birthday!!

I got to celebrate it with everyone I love, and that is what it's all about!!

This was such a beautiful cake.  It was called a NEAPOLITAN.  It had Strawberry frosting with chocolate ganache drizzle....from my fav cake shop CHEZ BAZAN!!

Who doesn't love gift cards to shop for makeup and then go out to eat at the Outback?!  Not to mention my favorite candle scent ever, ROSE??

YUM is all I can say...this cake was soooo good!!

The beautiful roses my sweet baby girl got me!!

On my actual "Birthday" this is what we did :)

I can't help it...and I will be the first to admit it, I'm a museum nerd....I love all museums so that's what I chose to do for my Birthday!!

I had seen where the "Magic School Bus" was going to be at the Dallas Museum of Natural Science and have been wanting to take the grandkids for a while, so off we went on Thursday!!

It's such a neat place with so much to offer families!!

My little lovies!!

P, who LOVES all types of snakes now thanks to "Swamp Wars" was explaining to A what kind of snake this was!!

You can't tell it here, but I was laughing so hard....P and A were chasing the pigeons and P was "barking" at them!!

I actually see this look a lot :) :)

Love this little man!!

This was soooo funny....P stuck his head in the nose and it "sneezed" at him..it blows air out!!

These are the neatest little paddle boats I have ever seen!!  I want my own ducky paddleboat!!

It just seems so iconic to have the State Fair Ferris Wheel in the background!!

This was such a wonderful way to spend my Birthday!!!

Taylor's Bridal Shower

My youngest daughter Jackie has been asked to be Maid of Honor at her best friend Taylor's Wedding in September!!  She put together the most gorgeous Bridal Shower for her!!

Here's a few pics!!

It was held at Hollytree Country Club in Tyler, Texas.  This is such a wonderful venue for any kind of party etc..

Isn't the cake gorgeous?!  It was made by our friend over at

She's made three cakes for us now and they have all been beautiful and delicious!!

Jackie and her good friend Lynsey have started their own shop that makes custom embroidery shirts and banners....Lynsey made this banner for Taylor!!  If you need one for a birthday or shower please look them up!!
Taylor was so surprised and LOVED IT!!

The tables were so pretty!!  I am so proud of Jackie, she hand made every single table cover because she wanted a certain print and could find none like that......that's how it goes...if you can't find it, make it!!

This has to be one of the funniest games ever at a shower!!

The "Bride To Be"

The Bride with three of her Bridesmaids...one was unable to make it!!

My beautiful girls and I with the Bride!!

Cow Appreciation Day

I have no idea why I let my daughter talk me into this haha....but we had great fun making the "littles" some cow outfits and then going to Chick Fil A for "Cow Appreciation Day" ....if you dress as a cow you get a free meal!!  They thought it was GREAT FUN!!

We had so much fun making their shirts...it was my bright idea to make their ears like that.....now I think they look more like mouse ears :)

We even made them tails!!

Hubby just happened to get off work in time to join us....we talked him into putting on a pair of ears and holding the sign we made!!

All in all it was a fun time!!

Thank you Chick Fil A!!

Tuesday Adventure!!

I just love short little day trips up to the DFW area to just run around and go shopping!!

My daughter, grandson and I made an afternoon of it and hit the Allen Outlet Mall!!

We stopped at the GUESS outlet and she picked up a purse she was eyeing the last time we were up here!!  I need one so badly, I don't know what I was thinking buying a WHITE purse to have in East Texas.  I brought it to one too many T Ball games and now it is East Texas Mud Red.

In between stores my grandson BEGGED us to let him ride on the little coin operated "rides"....he wanted to ride every single one!!  You could spend a small fortune there for as many of those rides as they have almost in front of every single store!!  Ack!!

I stopped in a Gymboree and as always had to buy my little granddaughter some suuuuper cute little dresses.....who doesn't love to buy Gymboree at discount prices?!?!  I also got her some leggings and my grandson a  shirt and left out of there only spending close to $30 so for five things I figured that was pretty good!!

I stopped in at Juicy Couture just to get my other daughter who wasn't able to come a treat as well!  They had some super cute little workout pants on sale....Since she's always working or going to school I figured she needed something cute for what little "down time" she has!!  I love the outlet mall :)

We also stopped in the Neiman Marcus final call store...I have to say that I loved pretty much every outfit and pair of shoes in that store.  If only I had an endless supply of shopping money ::sigh:: my goal is to save and go shopping once each season.

As we were leaving I noticed the GORGEOUS sunset....a perfect end to a wonderful day !!

On our way back home we stopped in and had dinner at Pappadeaux!!  That was a real treat and somewhere we seldom go!!  Mmmmmm I think I could eat there every day....it's also the only place I took pics....my grandson had to stop at the wishing well and make a few wishes!!  He was so cute!!  He also looooved the fish on the walls and would run look at them and then run back to the table to tell us all about them..that is after he got done checking out the lobster tank which was TOTALLY fascinating to him.  Thankfully there weren't that many people there and they weren't that close to us because generally we don't let them run in restaurants!!

YUM!!

Jessica with her new pink Guess purse LOL

Kids are so funny....they don't just toss money in they sling it in!!
